Home Building Process
As your local Tri-Cities home builder, we provide a unique building experience. Learn about our build process below!
We recognize that choosing a home builder is a tremendous challenge. That’s why this meeting is with the builder himself- not a job-site superintendent. We want you to be confident that we will deliver the finished product exactly as expected, when expected. During the pre-construction meeting, we go over the process of building your home from start to finish. We want to put your mind at ease, so we take the time needed to answer any questions you might have.
All the necessary documents will be submitted to the appropriate city/county per their requirements to obtain proper permits.
One of the biggest factors that sets us apart from other builders is the state of the art online collaborating program that we utilize. Before construction on your home even begins, you are assigned a login to this program. This login allows you to view daily progress of your home, share pictures with friends and family on Facebook, and even allow others to access to your online account. This program also enables you to request changes, approve change orders, make selections, and submit warranty requests – all with a click of a button. Click the link to learn more about BuilderTrend.
This walk-through is conducted with you on-site to ensure that any upgrades or changes to your home are accounted for and installed before covering the walls. During this walk-though you will also be able to choose lighting and electrical outlet locations.
Quality Control & Inspections
Even a small mistake can turn into a monstrous problem if not addressed immediately. We walk every house, every room, every day – making sure that the material and workmanship meets our high quality standards. To ensure a smooth flow of the construction process, inspections are scheduled and passed with city/county, L&I and PUD in a timely manner.
Buyer Orientation/Homeowner Walk-through
During the orientation, we present the home to you, the buyer, as 100% complete and clean. Together, we walk the home room by room, explaining all the bells and whistles, and addressing any questions or concerns you may have. Any items found during the walk-through are noted on the Acceptance Sheet and addressed immediately. During this walk-through you will receive a Homeowner Guidebook which includes home maintenance tips, warranty information, and manuals for your appliances and fixtures.
A Final Walk-through is conducted with you to ensure that the items on the Acceptance Sheet are completed. Your sign-off is obtained, creating a smooth transition from building process to warranty.
Each of our homes comes with a 2-10 home warranty. Find this warranty in our Homeowners Corner.
